How awesome was that? N10s nonsense aside (a rant that I’ve done to death already) that was the most entertaining qualifying session I’ve seen in a while. There was no form guide, there was no predicting. It was simply brilliant.
I don’t think anyone would have seriously predicted that the BrawnGP cars would lock out the front row of the grid on debut. I don’t think anyone though McLaren would struggle as they have. Perhaps the only given was Massa, because we all know he’s still a little bit rubbish. It was just great to see such an upside down session filled with unpredictability.
The Brawn cars look absolutely plantd on the track. Renault “Boat” looks absolutely horrible and a complete handful to drive. McLaren look solid but are just slow and BMW appear not to be as fast as we all expected. Toyota are good.
It’s going to be a brilliant grand prix.
